Critical Issue |
Important trading relationships with major retailers such as Target and
specialty retailers such as CVS were under pressure due to our clients
inability to do e-business.
|
 |
| Reasons |
| Our client, a small but growing division of a larger parent company, was unable
to comply with the e-business demands of its large customers. While its parent
company had the IT expertise to solve the problem, our client was unable to gain
access to the parent companys IT resources. |
 |
| Capabilities Needed |
| The company needed a quick, cost-effective way to receive electronic orders from
its customers and then invoice those same customers for their orders in the
electronic formats they demanded (mostly EDI). |
 |
| InfoAccess.net Provided |
InfoAccess.net provided our client with Order Management Services (OMS), giving
them the capability to receive all their orders from their customers in a single
electronic format. InfoAccess.net also provided an integrated solution for the
client to send invoices to its customers in the specific electronic and
non-electronic formats they were demanding (EDI, FTP, fax, internet/web, etc.).
|
 |
| Results |
| Utilizing the capabilities provided by InfoAccess.net, the client was able to
receive all of their customers electronic orders and invoice those same
customers in the electronic and non-electronic formats they were demanding. This
helped our client better fulfill customer orders and satisfy customer
expectations, leading to much improved customer relationships. Our successful
implementation also helped our client significantly increase their working
capital. By invoicing customers electronically in the preferred customer format,
customers paid our client faster. In just one week of using InfoAccess.net's
OMS, our client collected over $2 million in past due receivables. |
